  8. Galveston Island State Park — Hike, kayak, or beachcomb across 2,000 acres, where the Gulf’s sandy beaches contrast with the bay’s serene marshes and trails, offering diverse landscapes to explore. Like most Texas State Parks, this location is pet-friendly.
